My Class 2B Motorcycle License (up to 200cc) - YES, finally!

How do you get a Singapore Class 2B Motorcycle License?

Well..
Step 1: Drag your ass to the learning centre and enrol.
Step 2: Drag your ass to attend Theory lessons then pass the Theory Test.
Step 3: Drag your heavy ass to the practical lessons.

There are 8 Practical Lessons in total.
Sounds easy?
Not really.

You gotta fulfill all the requirements stated in each practical lesson; Slope, Plank course, Pylon course, Emergency Brake, Figure 8 (omg I hate this one most) and Crank course.

Plus, usually it takes 2 - 3 attempts to pass each practical before you can proceed to the next level. IF, the instructors that day are feeling kind, or lady luck's shining down on you, or maybe you're just so pro lah, you might pass a practical on 1st try.

There are limited slots for each practical lesson so you'd have to book them in advance.
You can only book when you complete each practical lesson.

So after each practical lesson, you have to CHIONG like a kiasu pok and hurry book before everyone else does if not you'll be left with the next available slot at a much later date. Then your whole process of getting your license is gonna stretch over a longer period of time.

Each time I failed, I felt like giving up.

Going for the practical lessons was SUCH A DREAD to begin with.

Have to wear the damn helmet and sweat like siao in it on a hot day. To make myself feel better, I have to psycho myself "it's not hot at all! It's so cooling out here!"
Feel the bike overheating. Clutch in and brake non stop until fingers are numb and tired.
Not having to mention, Practical 5 which is a "mini test" where the instructors are really strict on it. I sucked at the Figure 8 and crank course. Each time I practiced it, there will be at least one instructor standing by to assist, just in case I :

- run off course
- skid
- mount the curb
- do a beautiful back flip or something

BUT! I WAS DETERMINED.

With determination comes perseverance.
With perseverance, comes goddamnit-I-HAVE-to-get-this attitude.
With goddamnit-I-HAVE-to-get-this attitude, eventually comes Success :D

Actually, it was more like I had no choice.
Test Day

Each time it was Test Day, it's stressful. (Ya, I said "each time" because I failed a few times. Not cool at all)

I will be nervous, because I really want to pass and get my bike. The test route would be repeatedly running through my mind, the Do's and Don'ts, and it doesn't help when a lot of eyes are watching because I'm the only girl there.

I tell you ah, all these eyes, they talk without opening their mouths. Power right? Their eyes say:

"Hmm.. can this girl make it?"

"Eh, she try how many times already?"

"I hope she clears it this time round"

"I think she cannot leh"

Again, I've to tell myself that it's gonna be alright and I'm gonna pass it this time.

After the Test

It feels like Judgment Day.

All the students gather into a room and wait for the results.
If your number is called, CONGRATS! You can go cry in a corner because you have FAILED. Lol.
And yes, the feeling SUCKS. But don't give up, just try again :)

If your number is not called, CONGRATS! (The real congrats) You have PASSED.
It took me 3 freaking attempts to finally get my Class 2B Motorcycle license.
But who cares? I got it, that's what matters.
