Around The Whole Taiwan On Two Wheels In 7 Days! #7DaysTaiwan

Actually, it's around Taiwan on two wheels in 5 days, because the first and last day is our flight to and fro, so no riding on those days.

Taiwan is not a big country (but of course, still bigger than Singapore), and is known for its vibrant night markets, traditional Chinese temples, hot springs, and dramatic mountainous terrain.

The amazing thing about exploring this country is you can go from over 3,000 metres in altitude up in the mountains,

to 0 metres at sea level in a short few hours because of the country's unique landscapes.
Having well-paved roads is definitely a bonus too.

This trip was kinda spontaneous where it was me, Kyle & David just talking about it and the next thing you know, we're on the plane flying over to Taiwan together. Hahah but you know the best trips are normally done spontaneously righttt ;)

So yep! This is the route I mapped out for the 5 days we're planning to ride through during Spring time in Taiwan.

Taipei - Yi Lan - Hua Lien - Taroke Gorge - Kenting - Alishan - Tai Chung - Taipei.

We're looking at about 1,300KM with majority of it being mountain roads and some ocean roads, with average temperatures of around 15°C, partial rain.

You might wonder, why is the trip duration so short?

Well, David cannot be away too long from his wife if not he will faint from love-sickness.
Kyle needs to get back for a dog event. And me? I've got work.

We always hear people saying they don't have time to travel, or to fulfil a simple wish, this and that. Truth is, we all have our different commitments and priorities in life. It's all about how you manage it, to make things happen.

Yes, 5 days is pretty short, but after thinking about it, it's doable!
So, YOLO LEGGO you know?

Packed our biking gears, and off we go! Into the island of gorgeous gorges, magnificent ocean roads, endless night market hopping and yes, that awesome party life!
